Resumen:	Esta investigación aborda la temática del déficit habitacional en poblaciones rurales en Colombia, en donde se analizarán las principales problemáticas de la ruralidad en relación con la vivienda, como la pobreza, la falta de oportunidades laborales, poca educación y la inadecuada implementación de materiales, como resultado de esto se genera un déficit cuantitativo y cualitativo, los cuales se relacionan a las necesidades básicas habitacionales. Como primera instancia, se encuentra la delimitación geográfica del área de estudio en Vigía del Fuerte, Antioquia ya que es el municipio con mayor déficit habitacional en poblaciones rurales. El proyecto busca mejorar la calidad de vida de esta comunidad por medio de un prototipo de vivienda a base de materiales vernáculos con todas las calidades y cualidades espaciales en donde se plantea un sistema de construcción flexible y sobre todo económico, al mismo tiempo que este prototipo se pueda apropiar del contexto y se adapte a las condiciones sociales, climáticas y del terreno donde se vinculara toda su cultura, tradiciones e identidad del usuario. Es por esto que se adopta la arquitectura industrializada en sistemas modulares vernáculos como solución al déficit habitacional además de configurar la vivienda como una integración unánime de muchas de las características tanto ambientales, arquitectónicas y culturales.
Abstract:	This research addresses the issue of housing deficit in rural populations of Colombia. The main problems of rurality that are related to housing such as poverty, lack of job opportunities, lack of education and inadequate implementation of materials, will be analyzed. Due to these problems, a quantitative and qualitative deficit related to basic housing needs is generated. The geographical delimitation of the study area is Vigia del Fuerte, Antioquia, since it is the municipality with the highest housing deficit in rural populations. The project seeks to improve the quality of life of this community through a housing prototype based on vernacular materials which have all the attributes and spatial qualities. A flexible and, especially, an economic construction system is proposed. At the same time this prototype could be adapted to the social, climatic and terrain conditions where all the culture, traditions and identity of the user will be linked. Therefore, the industrialized architecture is adjusted in vernacular modular systems as a solution to the housing deficit, besides to configuring the house as a unanimous integration of many of the environmental, architectural, and cultural characteristics of the place.
