Abstract
Colombia es un país donde el transporte terrestre juega un papel importante, gracias a la extensa red de carreteras que conectan el territorio y por las que transitan camioneros, locales y turistas extranjeros en busca de nuevas experiencias. En este contexto surge 1919 Barbacoa, un restaurante consolidado como referente gastronómico para conductores y turistas en la ruta Villeta- Guaduas. Este restaurante, impulsado por Juan Camilo Talero y Sara Isabella Millán, tiene como propósito fusionar las tradiciones culinarias texanas con un servicio ágil y personalizado, dirigido a un segmento desatendido: los transportistas que, tras largas horas en la carretera, requieren alimentos de calidad sin sacrificar tiempo. Esta iniciativa destaca una brecha en el mercado, pues se estima que más de 10.000 vehículos transitan por la zona, mientras que pocos establecimientos ofrecen comida y espacios adecuados para el descanso.
Description
Colombia is a country where land transportation plays an important role, thanks to the extensive network of roads that connect the territory and through which truck drivers, locals and foreign tourists travel in search of new experiences. In this context, 1919 Barbacoa emerges, a restaurant consolidated as a gastronomic reference for drivers and tourists on the Villeta-Guaduas route. This restaurant, promoted by Juan Camilo Talero and Sara Isabella Millán, aims to merge Texan culinary traditions with a fast and personalized service, aimed at an underserved segment: transporters who, after long hours on the road, require quality food without sacrificing time. This initiative highlights a gap in the market, as it is estimated that more than 10,000 vehicles travel through the area, while few establishments offer food and adequate spaces for rest.
