| Resumen: | Esta monografía trata sobre el fracturamiento hidráulico, más comúnmente conocido como fracking, que se emplea para extraer hidrocarburos de una forma no convencional. últimamente, se ha acalorado el debate de las organizaciones sociales que han documentado los graves problemas que esta técnica causa sobre el medio y que repercuten directamente sobre la salud de las personas. Por otra parte, están las compañías petroleras y los gobiernos, que estimulan el uso de esta técnica para aumentar las reservas petroleras que se encuentran diezmadas y que amenazan la economía del país. |
| Abstract: | This monograph deals with hydraulic fracturing, more commonly known as fracking, which is used to extract hydrocarbons in an unconventional way. lately, the debate of the social organizations that have documented the serious problems that this technique causes on the environment and that have a direct impact on the health of people has heated up. On the other hand, there are the oil companies and the governments, which stimulate the use of this technique to increase the oil reserves that are decimated and that threaten the economy of the country. |
